But as the client list grew, we found ourselves spending more time on administrative overhead than on the work that actually moves the needle. Every month, invoicing would take days. We'd spend hours hunting through different task managers, chats, and emails to figure out what we'd actually done. Still, those quick revision rounds and "just one small change" requests would regularly slip through the cracks, unbilled.
