## Overview

Rinkta's Basecamp integration logs billable hours automatically whenever to-dos are completed or cards are marked done. AI analyzes task descriptions, calculates time estimates, and creates billing entries in real time. Your team's project work becomes documented, invoiceable hours without anyone touching a timesheet.

## How it works

Link your Basecamp account to Rinkta with one click. Choose your account, authorize access, and Rinkta begins watching your projects for completed work.

When someone on your team completes a to-do or moves a card to done, Rinkta's AI analyzes the task description to figure out what got delivered. It calculates how much time the work required based on what's described, then immediately logs a time entry tied to the appropriate project and client.

Estimates come from actual task content, not fuzzy recollection or rounded guesses. If an estimate needs adjustment, you can change it in Rinkta. The hard part of reading tasks, calculating time, and creating entries is already finished.

Set up your clients and projects in Rinkta before linking Basecamp. After you connect Basecamp projects to Rinkta projects, finished work flows to the right client without further action. No tagging conventions, no sorting by hand, no staying up late trying to recall which Basecamp project belonged to which client.

## Configure

Workspace administrators start OAuth2 authentication in Rinkta [settings](https://rinkta.com/settings/integrations). Choose the Basecamp account to connect, approve project permissions, and Rinkta establishes webhook endpoints for todo and card events.

Webhooks track completed to-do events and cards moved to done status. When these fire, AI reads the task description and produces time estimates that log against your mapped Rinkta projects.

Connect Basecamp projects to Rinkta projects at the workspace level so finished work lands in the correct client accounts. Webhook data processes in real-time, generating entries the moment tasks are completed or cards reach done.
