Automate time capture from completed issues

Overview

Issue closed in Linear is a time entry created in Rinkta. That's the entire workflow.

Rinkta watches your Linear workspace and turns completed issues into billing entries automatically. AI reads what got built, calculates how long it took, and logs it against the right client. Your team’s work becomes invoiceable hours without anyone stopping to fill out a timesheet.

How it works

Rinkta connects to Linear in one click. Authorize access and the integration goes live immediately.

Rinkta monitors issue status across all your Linear projects. The moment an issue moves to done or completed, AI kicks in. It analyzes the issue description and comment history to understand scope and complexity, then calculates a time estimate. A billing entry appears in Rinkta instantly, already attached to the correct project and client.

Time estimates are based on what the issue actually describes. If one looks wrong, adjust it in Rinkta. The grunt work is done.

You'll map Linear projects to Rinkta clients and projects during setup. After that, every completed issue lands in the right place without further input. No tagging systems. No manual sorting. No trying to reconstruct which Linear project belonged to which paying client weeks after the fact.

Configure

Authenticate through OAuth2 in Rinkta settings. Choose your Linear workspace, approve permissions, and Rinkta establishes webhook listeners for issue events.

Webhooks fire when issues hit completed or done status. AI parses the issue body and comments, generates time estimates, and posts them to your configured Rinkta projects. Everything happens in real time.

Connect Linear projects to Rinkta projects at the workspace level. Completed issues route to client accounts based on these mappings. Webhook responses process instantly, so billing entries appear the moment work is marked done.
