What is Rinkta?

Rinkta is automatic time tracking and invoicing software for agencies. It connects to project management tools, captures completed tasks, estimates billable hours, and generates invoices. No manual time entry required. Learn more on our homepage.

Who is Rinkta for?

Rinkta is built for agencies and service businesses that bill clients for time. It works best for teams using Asana, ClickUp, Linear, GitHub, Basecamp, Slack, and more. See our integrations page for the full list.

Does Rinkta replace project management tools?

No. Rinkta integrates with existing project management tools. It handles time tracking, invoicing, and profitability reporting while your team continues using their current workflow.

Does my team need to learn new software?

No. Team members continue using their existing tools. Rinkta runs in the background and captures work automatically. No timers or manual logging required.

How long does setup take?

Initial setup typically takes 10 to 15 minutes. Connect your project management tools, configure client rates, and add client information.

How does Rinkta capture work?

Rinkta creates entries from closed tasks in connected tools like Asana, ClickUp, Linear, GitHub, and Basecamp. You can also instruct Rinkta to capture work through Slack, or add entries manually. If work isn't logged in one of these ways, it won't be captured.

How does automatic time estimation work?

When a task is closed, Rinkta estimates hours based on task complexity, historical patterns, and industry benchmarks. Accuracy improves over time as the system learns your team's work patterns.

What if the time estimates are incorrect?

All estimates can be reviewed and adjusted before invoicing. Rinkta learns from corrections and improves future estimates accordingly.

Does Rinkta send invoices automatically?

No. Rinkta generates invoices with one click, but sending is manual. This allows you to review each invoice before it goes to the client. See our invoicing page for more details.

Can I set different rates for different clients?

Yes. Each client can have unique hourly rates, currencies, and tax settings. Rinkta applies the correct settings automatically when generating invoices.

Can I set different rates for different team members?

Yes. Rates can be configured per team member, per client, or per project.

What happens if my team doesn't create tasks for their work?

If work isn't captured as a closed task, instructed through Slack, or entered manually, it won't appear in Rinkta. The system relies on your team's existing workflow to track billable work.

How does Rinkta help with agency profitability?

Rinkta helps you bill for more of the work you actually do. It syncs with your project management tools and creates billing entries automatically when tasks close. The less work that slips through the cracks, the more revenue you capture, and the more profitable you become. See our agencies page for more on how Rinkta helps agencies.

Why does capturing more work improve profitability?

Most agencies leak revenue not because their rates are wrong, but because billable work never makes it to an invoice. Quick tasks, small fixes, extra revisions. Rinkta captures these automatically, so you bill for work that would otherwise be forgotten.

What does the Rinkta dashboard show?

A real-time overview of your billing: current month's revenue, revenue by client, revenue by project, and outstanding invoices. You can see where you stand financially at any point, not just at month-end. See our insights page for more details.

Can I see how much I've billed per client?

Yes. The dashboard breaks down revenue by client so you can see who generates the most billing and track what's still unpaid.

Can I see how much I've billed per project?

Yes. Revenue can be viewed by project as well as by client. This helps you understand which types of work generate the most billing.

Can I see outstanding invoices?

Yes. Rinkta shows which invoices are unpaid and how much revenue is still outstanding. See our invoicing page for more details.

How does automatic capture compare to manual time tracking?

Manual time tracking relies on people remembering to log their work. They forget, underestimate, or skip entries when busy. Rinkta creates entries the moment a task closes, so nothing depends on memory. More captured work means more billing, which means better profitability.

Does Rinkta calculate profit margins?

No. Rinkta tracks what you bill, not your costs. To calculate margins, you would compare Rinkta's billing data with your expenses externally. What Rinkta does is help you maximize the revenue side of that equation.

How does real-time visibility help profitability?

When you can see your billing status at any point in the month, you make better decisions. You notice when a client isn't generating much revenue. You spot when a project is taking more time than expected. You react sooner instead of discovering problems after the invoice goes out.

What's the connection between captured hours and profitability?

Simple: unbilled hours are lost revenue. If your team does the work but it doesn't get invoiced, your effective hourly rate drops. Rinkta makes sure more of the work you do turns into billing, which directly improves profitability.

What tools does Rinkta integrate with?

Rinkta integrates with Asana, ClickUp, Linear, GitHub, Basecamp, Slack, and Toggl. Additional integrations are in development. See our integrations page for the full list.

How do I connect my project management tools?

During setup, authorize Rinkta to access your tools. The process takes a few clicks and does not require technical expertise.

Can Rinkta pull data from multiple tools simultaneously?

Yes. If your team uses multiple tools (for example, GitHub for development and Asana for project management), Rinkta consolidates data from all connected sources.

How does Slack integration work?

You can instruct Rinkta to capture work through Slack by mentioning it or using specific commands. This is useful for logging work that doesn't happen inside your project management tools, like client calls or ad-hoc requests.

Does Rinkta integrate with accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero?

Direct integrations are not yet available. Invoice data can be exported and imported into accounting software. Native integrations are planned.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Rinkta offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. Start your free trial here.

What plans are available?

Rinkta offers two plans: Startup for small and medium teams, and Business for larger agencies. See our pricing page for a full comparison.

Can I change my plan after signing up?

Yes. Plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any time from the dashboard.

Is annual billing available?

Yes. Annual billing provides a 25% discount compared to monthly billing.

What if I need more capacity than my current plan allows?

You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. For custom requirements, contact us through Discord.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Rinkta follows industry security standards for handling sensitive business information.

How do I get support?

The Rinkta team provides support through Discord. Response times are typically within minutes during business hours.
